Bardolino · Lake Garda · 1858
A story spanning generations, bringing together music, place and community on the shores of Lake Garda.
Two souls. One Filarmonica.
One musical body, two voices: the Band that brings winds to the town squares and the Choir that weaves the voices of the community. Together, since 1858, we make Bardolino sing.

Since 1858
The Filarmonica was founded in 1858, when Bardolino was under Austrian rule. Its early years were difficult: even a passion for music could be mistaken for political ideology.
A story begun in 1858 continues thanks to everyone who chooses to be part of it.

The future plays here
The Filarmonica works with Falcone-Borsellino Middle School to give young people the opportunity to learn an instrument.
The programme combines music reading, instrumental technique and practical study. Lessons are held weekly by qualified professional teachers.
The Junior Band is the youth ensemble born from our partnership with the “Falcone-Borsellino” school in Bardolino: music-school students take the stage together, their first step before joining the Band.
Stories to see and hear
The historic visual archive has been catalogued and is ready for controlled migration.
“For sixty years now, the lake breezes and its strongest winds have gained spirit and power from the music rising from Bardolino’s shores… If, on a summer evening, a gentle melody spreads through the clear air… it is the Filarmonica: you are in Bardolino.”Cav. Uff. Mario Sala
The next note can start with you.
With your donation we can help new young people take up the musical instrument that suits them best, and raise the level of the Filarmonica di Bardolino.
Support lessons and the Junior Band: new children discovering music and finding the instrument that is right for them.
Instruments to buy and repair, stands, cases and scores: instruments become music in young hands.
More training and more resources mean a rising musical level, new concerts and living culture across the area.
Stands, loaned instruments and trips to perform: every Junior Band concert is a step towards the Band.
